BKR is a Fresno, CA. based neo-traditional hip-hop artist/writer/producer focused on maintaining the art of lyricism while creating a unique sound. While making amazing music is always top priority, his exciting, commanding stage presence is definitely something to behold.
Since exploding onto the underground music scene in 2017, BKR has been releasing volumes of incredible hip-hop music. From immersing fans in his unorthodox rhyme style over some rough-around-the-edges instrumentals on his debut EP "baBARbarian" to a collab concept album with fellow Fresno emcee, Nolage, titled "Bar Talk" and his personal, heartfelt full length album "I Need The Music" (all released in one calendar year} he has shown his skill and work ethic are a force to be reckoned with. Following that successful run, he organized and released an 8-part series of collaborative albums over the course of 8 months titled "Loteria Series". This featured 8 different artists (or groups) and 8 different producers for each respective EP, and continually showcased the diversity within his talent for songwriting. The most recent release in his portfolio called "You May Have Noticed That I'm Not All There Myself" a 5 track EP, is incredibly powerful and was performed in what he refers to as vignette-style writing. First released as a series of performance lyric videos, each song is meant to be bite sized streams of continual thought on a topic, heavy on lyricism, with little regard to song structure.
BKR stays in demand to feature on various artists' projects all while continuing to work diligently on expanding his creativity musically with new musical works of art. Follow along as BKR continues to drop gems. Thanks for listening!
